If This Doesn’t Make You Want To Grab A Heiney

I’m not sure what will.

Look, I’ll be the first one in line to burn advertisers at the stake. Ads are intrusive, annoying, almost never advertising anything I’d even be remote interested in, and if I wanted to know about your type of product, I’d come looking for it.

Add to that the hideous aesthetics and utter lack of creativity and originality of the vast majority of ads, and marketing folks and I will just not see eye to eye.  Spam does not improve my opinion of advertising, and repeated, insistent, unethical attempts to force ads and software onto my hard drive are legitimate grounds for a death-penalty conviction in my book.

But every now and again someone puts a little effort into an ad. They get creative, smart, funny, sexy, or some combination thereof that at least entertains me.

    Have to agree with you, as usual. Most ads are vacuous. Advertising pap for the masses. Nice to see the odd one which has had a bit of imagination inputed.

    Eh, I just find it creepy. Oh, a ‘woman’ who is programmed to dispence beer from her torso.

    I think I focused more on the music and the “robot effects” part more than the “woman dispensing beer” part of it.

    It is a bit spooky and I can see where you are coming fom Janine, but the woman is clearly robotic as suggested by the graphics and the sound track. I didn’t see anything sexual in this. Have to agree with Janie on this one.

    Sorry, but got to comment on your spelling again dear. A heinie is an ass in the posterior sense of the word. But what is a Heiney. The only one I know of (as does Wikipedia) is Paul who was a presenter on the long running Brit TV series That’s Life.

    A good commercial, loved it when I saw it the other day while watching a ballgame. These are copywriters who know what they’re doing. The art of writing good commercials has kind of gone by the wayside.

    You are so very right. Commercials just blare crap mostly, and as a result have become impotent to affect me. It’s nice to see something more than a screaming billboard once in a while.
