Dream a Little Dream of Me.

New Header Image

What do y’all think? It’s racy and dreamy.

I spent today putting it together from some stuff I had collected.

Do you think it’ll make you dream a little dream of me?

    It’s very…Janie-ish.

  2. JanieBelle says:

Which is, after all, the point!

    😉

  3. blipey says:

I’ll dream a little dream of something, certainly. No more untroubled, restful nights on the road. Thanks a lot!

  4. JanieBelle says:

    Always happy to help, blipey!

    Kisses to you!

  5. max says:

It is beautiful. It reminds me some of the urban angel collages by Darren Westlund.

  6. JanieBelle says:

    That’s high praise, Max.

    Thank you, I’m honored.

  7. Infophile says:

Hmm, all my dreams are in color, and they go in those directions all too rarely. Maybe looking at that will help a bit, though.

  8. JanieBelle says:

I’m all about helping out your dreams.

Be sure to let me know what pops up.

    😉

  9. max says:

Oh. Now I have to call the pun police.

    That is so wrong.

  10. JanieBelle says:

Will they put me in handcuffs, and do a strip search, and interrogate me for long periods of time in a private room while people watch from behind the one-way glass?

    Just wonderin’.

    😉

  11. max says:

Absolutely. Why else would I have the pun police’s number on speed dial?

  12. max says:

Wait. That came out so wrong. Um, certainly not, Miss Janie. You are a minor. They will call your parents.

  13. JanieBelle says:

I’m only a minor until Valentine’s Day, though.

Maybe a delayed arrest or something?

  14. JanieBelle says:

Holy Crap! I just realized my birthday is in like 20 days!!!

    WWOOOOWOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Now, about that drinking age thing, Governor….

  15. max says:

That hit you today too hmm?

    I have eighteen days.

    Happy Birthday Aquarius.

  16. JanieBelle says:

Hey, does that mean I go from a minor sex-pot to a major sex-pot?

    Look out world.

  17. max says:

You were already a major sexpot, Cupcake. This just makes you legal.

You sure you want to do that? You are fictitious, you could just rewrite the birthday and be illegal forever.

  18. JanieBelle says:

Y’know, I’ve considered that, and it’s an option still on the table, but I think I definitely want to be old enough to vote come ’08 elections.

  19. JanieBelle says:

Oh, and for the record, North Carolina has one of those “rolling age of consent” things, so Kate isn’t breaking any laws.

    Just so y’know.

  20. JanieBelle says:

Whoops. I’m mistaken. That rolling age of consent applies to 13, 14, and 15 year olds.

16 is legal, apparently, so it’s all good anyway.

  21. max says:

Voting in 2008 is definitely a good thing.

I do not even know what a rolling age of consent is but it sounds like fun.

  22. max says:

Oh sure, as I type it sounds like fun, throw in there it applies to 13 year olds.

    Ahhhh!

  23. JanieBelle says:

    Ack. sorry ’bout that.

In North Carolina, a 13 year old can consent to sex with a 17 year old, but not an 18 year old.

A 14 year old can consent to an 18 year old, but not a 19 year old.

And a 15 year old can consent to a 19 year old, but not a 20 year old.

More than 4 years older constitutes a class C felony, more than 6 years older is a class B1 felony.

  24. max says:

That is interesting. It is the first time I have seen legislature attempt to address a situation which is very odd. Two seventeen years olds can be engaged in, hmm, how to put this delicately? Er, mutual sex education? And then whammo, one hits a birthday and can go to jail like that snap if the parents do not like it. I have never heard of this before. Maybe I should get out more.

  25. JanieBelle says:

In some ways our legislature is thinking but in other ways, duh.

It’s still a crime here to register at a motel or hotel as a married couple if you’re not married.

Like whose frickin’ business is that?

  26. JanieBelle says:

At least the courts struck down the laws against same sex sex, though, so that’s progress.

  27. max says:

In Louisian a law is still on the books making it illegal for a handicapped person to appear in public.

Law takes time to address and change.

  28. JanieBelle says:

Yeah, there’s one little town I know of where it’s still illegal to walk your elephant down the main street on Sundays before 1 PM.

Apparently someone had a pet back in the 1800s and it caused some church-goers some problems, and no one ever bothered to repeal the law.

  29. max says:

Is it just me, or does not walking an elephant down main street actually sound like kind of a good idea?

  30. […] Birthday List So Max and I are chatting in the New Header Image thread, and it dawns on me that my birthday is coming […]

  31. JanieBelle says:

Hey, people walk their dogs down main streets all the time!

End discrimination against elephants, I say!

  32. Infophile says:

I’m all about helping out your dreams.

Be sure to let me know what pops up.

    😉

Unfortunately, things didn’t work out so well last night with our little “experiment.” Whatever you were attempting to do seems to have hit the other end of my body, and I started to have dreams where my nose was being… well, you can imagine.

And then I woke up and my face was covered with blood from a massive nosebleed. You just had to do me to completion, didn’t you? For future reference, I sleep with my legs facing south; work on the protrusion at that end, if you’d please.

  33. JanieBelle says:

Daddy always taught me never to start something I didn’t finish.

    😉

  34. max says:

Well elephant descrimination is wrong, but, when is the last time a dog sitting on a Volkswagon crushed the Volkswagon?

  35. JanieBelle says:

Well, if the stories are true, the problem was more one of what the elephant was leaving behind…

  36. max says:

And they say elephants have good memories. But no, they are always leaving something behind. Sheesh.
