A peek above our garters to Dr. BA of BadAstronomy for reminding us about this.
Yesterday on its way to a Pluto flyby, the New Horizons space probe passed by Jupiter and obtained a gravity boost. It picked up about 9000 mph, and took some pretty pictures, which are now starting to be assembled and released to the public.
Check ‘em out. OOOOO teh pretty!
